Our good friends at Carolina Readiness Supply in nearby Waynesville are hosting the Sensible Mountain Preparedness Seminar on July 14th from 9 AM to 6 PM. Come for the whole day or part of it. This is shaping up to be a very informative day of seminars featuring seven different speakers on subjects such as sanitation and hygiene in a grid-down situation. Granted, its not a subject most people think much about, but when the power goes out and clean water stops running, it doesn’t take long for diseases to pop up. Another is how to become a “grey man”, which is blending in to the crowd in such a way as to not draw attention to yourself, while at the same time being prepared for a sudden emergency and what you need to have on you at all times.
Another speaker about whom I just learned is speaking is Dr. Paul Williams, author of “When All Plans Fail“. Its coincidence that I wrote about this book in my last post, which prompted Jan at Carolina Readiness to tell me that Dr. Williams will be speaking at the 9 AM session. Again, this will be a great one day event that will educate you on various emergency preparedness techniques as well as an opportunity to network with other preppers and those who know how to thrive in an off the grid situation. The cost is just $30 and lunch is available for $10. Contact Carolina Readiness Supply today to pre-register.
