We are very pleased to write this letter of recommendation for John Haynes. My Husband and I have been considering a move to the Asheville area for a while and decided to take a few long weekend trips to Asheville from Hilton Head where we were spending the winter.
We had heard that east of Asheville, Black Mountain is a rather nice community in which to live, so we went online and checked out several communities there. The first one we visited was Creston. This is where we first met John Haynes, as he was in the sales office there on the weekend. John was very friendly and engaging, and he appeared knowledgeable about the area. From the beginning, John was very patient and a good listener. He understood out desire to be close to shopping, conveniences and the city of Asheville. Each time we expressed interest in a particular area, he would get back to us promptly, and it was always clear that he had done his homework.
We were very impressed with the time John took to get to know both of us and our criteria, so we decided to hire him to represent us as buyers in Buncombe County. John showed us a variety of properties, in different locations, always soliciting our feedback after each visit and adjusting the search accordingly. As a result, we were able to narrow down our search quickly in order to focus on areas of high interest. Along the way, John took us to a local deli for lunch, which was a very personable touch. He pointed out places of interest in Asheville, local restaurants, music venues, and shops, in the town of Black Mountain. We also found that his sense of humor made our search more enjoyable.
On our third visit to the Asheville area, John showed us a lot he had found in Black Mountain. Once we saw the property he had discovered, we became very excited. After several visits to the property, we decided this was the lot for us. We made an offer, and counter offer, which was accepted. John found what we were looking for – a lot with great mountain views in an idyllic setting with the charm of a quaint town and close to Asheville. John also introduced us to a couple of builders, a surveyor, an attorney and an architect, all of whom were very helpful in supporting our process toward the purchase of the property. His referrals were very professional and knowledgeable. During the due diligence period, John continued to help us get the necessary paperwork done, even hand-delivering the survey to the attorney for us, as well as answering any questions that arose.
When the closing date arrived in March, everything was in order, thus we had a painless conclusion to the transaction. During the entire process, John was extremely thorough, professional, confident, and reassuring. His background in and knowledge of the real estate industry serve him and his clients very well. John went above and beyond the call of duty to provide us with a very pleasant experience. He is a consummate professional, very well informed and highly trustworthy. Also, we feel that was have made our first friend in our future hometown. Without any reservations at all, we highly recommend John Haynes to be a realtor of choice.
