This past week, a private viewing of the upcoming moving “One Second After” based on the NYT best selling book by William Forstchen was held in New York City. We were invited to this exclusive event, but unfortunately had another obligation elsewhere in the country. From what I hear, it was a great success with the lead characters and Dr. Forstchen holding a Q&A session with the audience.
If you’re not familiar with the book and its premise, you can read an earlier post by clicking here. In a nutshell, it promotes the need for preparations for a full grid down situation, and is set in my backyard of Black Mountain, North Carolina. It is surreal to walk around town, recognizing the locations described in the book and knowing many of the real life people who are behind many of the characters in it. One thing is clear, having a “bugout” property or homestead is an important consideration in disaster preparedness, and we have just the listing for that purpose.
Paint Rock Farm in rural Madison County is a 150 acre paradise. Its at the end of the road, for utmost privacy and security sitting like a citadel overlooking the French Broad River 120′ below. The property features approximately 12 acres of flat, sun drenched topography ideal for gardening, livestock and building. In fact, the property already boats eleven glamping cabins, a community bathhouse, updated barn for events and gatherings among other improvements. So if you and your extended family or friends are looking for a beautiful, yet strategic property for long term security, check out Paint Rock Farm. Then call us today to schedule a private showing.
