We are pleased to have recently represented the buyers of the largest land sale in the greater Asheville area MLS this year.  This was a 1,201 acre parcel featuring numerous ridgelines that provided outstanding views in all directions with elevations up to 3,200′.  It featured a beautiful custom built three bedroom home, but most significantly, this property had something that no other property we’ve found offered:  TWO lakes each having more than 50 acres of surface area.

No where in all our work in western NC have we ever found a property such as this.  To permit even a five acre lake in these mountains today is a monumental task.  Even Duke Energy with all its power, influence and money would have great difficulty permitting one of these lakes, much less two of them.  These are large enough for power boats, and yet their entire shorelines are within the 1,201 acres meaning they are solely for the enjoyment of the owners.  We are thrilled they saw the value in this property and we are honored to have helped in its acquisition.
