We recently had the opportunity to list an outstanding 118 acre property just ten minutes outside Morganton, NC in the foothills of North Carolina. Convenient to get to, but off the beaten path, this property offers everything one would want in a bugout or family retreat property. It has big water, multiple pastures and fields, gently rolling terrain, complete privacy, a network of very driveable interior roads for getting around, etc. From driving past it on the county road, one would never realize what lay beyond the gate.
There are hidden fields, multiple creeks and even an old gold mine (from what we’re told). Yes, it exists, but can’t say for sure if there is much to the story.
