If you’ve visited this website from time to time during the past twelve months, you’ll notice there has been basically no activity.  That is because I have been on a year long sabbatical working on a project in Japan.  Long story which I’ll skip, but glad to share with you if interested.

So Retreat Realty, Ltd. is now back at it arranging listings and assisting folks with their desire to find the perfect homestead, bugout or retreat property here in the mountains of western North Carolina.  While I was affiliated with Keller Williams Asheville prior to my sabbatical, I was the Top Individual Agent three years (actually four) in a row out of more than 500 area agents and I have the awards to back it up.  There are several reasons for that success, but a big one is that I focus on rural properties and know them as well or better than most.  I don’t list the typical “cookie cutter” house, or get involved in rental properties.  I drive a specially fitted out BMW X5 for going off road and carry a chainsaw at all times and I truly go beyond for my clients.  Most real estate agents never leave the pavement.  My focus is that of rural properties be they farms, woodlands, large or small within a seven county region around Asheville.
